Welcome to MyRailPool. By registering, accessing, or using our website or app, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

1. Service Description (Private Hire Operator)

MyRailPool operates as a Private Hire Operator licensed by the City of Wolverhampton Council (PHO Licence No: TBC). We arrange and provide private hire journeys using only Wolverhampton-licensed private hire drivers and vehicles. All bookings must be made through the Operator (website/app/phone/email). No street hails or direct bookings with drivers are permitted.

2. Eligibility

Users must be 18+ and provide accurate details. Drivers engaged by us must hold a valid UK driving licence, a City of Wolverhampton Council private hire driver licence, and drive a licensed PHV with valid hire & reward insurance.

3. Bookings & Contract

  • The contract of carriage is between you and MyRailPool (the Operator).
  • Booking confirmations will show key journey details and (when allocated) driver/vehicle details.
  • Drivers may not accept or solicit trips outside the Operator’s booking channels.

4. Passenger Responsibilities

  • Be ready at the pick-up time/location; wear seatbelts; follow driver safety instructions.
  • No illegal, abusive, or unsafe behaviour; no smoking/vaping in vehicles.
  • Pay the fare and any disclosed charges via the approved payment methods.

5. Driver Obligations

  • Hold and maintain all licences/insurances required by law and Wolverhampton Council.
  • Keep vehicles roadworthy, clean, and safe; comply with traffic and licensing rules.
  • Treat passengers respectfully and report incidents to the Operator.

6. Fares & Charges

Fares and any service fees/taxes are shown before you confirm. Additional charges (e.g., waiting time, tolls/parking, cleaning for spillages or damage) may apply where disclosed before or during booking.

7. Cancellations & Refunds

  • You may cancel 24 hours of the trip for a full refund.
  • After that, late cancellation/no-show fees may apply (up to the estimated fare).
  • Refunds are made to the original payment method.

8. Safety & Lost Property

  • Contact us promptly about incidents or lost property; we will liaise with the driver.
  • We may refuse or terminate journeys for safety, licensing, or legal reasons.

9. Insurance

All journeys are undertaken in PHVs insured for hire & reward. The Operator may also hold public liability cover. Insurance details can be requested where appropriate.

10. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law. Your statutory rights are not affected.

11. Privacy

We process personal data as set out in our Privacy Policy.

12. Complaints

Please contact us first to resolve any issue. If unresolved, you may contact the City of Wolverhampton Council Licensing Team regarding licensed-operator matters.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts for breaches of these Terms, safety concerns, fraud, or regulatory non-compliance.

14. Changes & Governing Law

We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use means acceptance. These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
